Jennifer Byrne, Chief Security Officer, Microsoft Worldwide Public Sector

Jennifer Byrne is the Chief Security Officer for the Worldwide Public Sector division at Microsoft where she leads a global community of Chief Security Advisors who consult with government and industry leaders on the most pressing cybersecurity issues. She is responsible for developing and leading division’s cybersecurity strategy in collaboration with Microsoft’s Trustworthy Computing Group, Digital Crimes Unit, and product teams for all of the company's major solutions.

Jennifer joined Microsoft having spent the last eighteen years working across the cybersecurity industry. She began her IT career in security engineering, servicing U.S. federal government clients and has held senior leadership positions in sales, alliances and strategy at Symantec and McAfee. Most recently, Jennifer was the Vice President of Global Sales at Damballa, a cybersecurity firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA providing advanced threat protection solutions for targeted attacks. Jennifer continues to collaborate closely with leaders in the security industry in support of innovation and initiatives promoting a safer Internet.
