Akhilesh Tuteja, Global co-leader of KPMG Cyber Security Practice
Akhilesh is the Global co-leader of KPMG’s Cyber Security practice. He also heads the IT Advisory practice for KPMG in the EMA (Europe Middle East & Africa) region.
Akhilesh is passionate about developments in the area of information technology and how these can help businesses drive smart processes and effective outcomes.
He has advised over 200 clients on matters relating to cyber security, IT strategy, selection of technologies and helped them realize the business benefits of technology. He has led engagements involving large scale cyber security implementation and transformation.
Akhilesh has extensive experience in the area of information risk management and has helped a large number of clients manage the risks relating to cyber security. He possesses good knowledge of behavior psychology and is enthusiastic about addressing the issues of IT risks in a holistic manner especially through application of user behavior analytics.
Akhilesh has contributed to developing a number of industry standards. He has been part of a couple of advisory committees of Reserve Bank of India (the central regulatory body for banks) in developing frameworks and approaches for effective risk management. He was part of the expert committee, which developed comprehensive guidelines for managing IT and fraud risks in banks.
Akhilesh is B Tech, MBA and holds CISA, CISSP, CGEIT, CRISC and CFE certifications.
He loves to play with gadgets and is currently self-learning implications of machine learning.
