Amrish Mishra, Ghazal Singer

Amrish is a disciple of eminent classical vocalists duo Pt. Rajan & Pt. Sajan Mishra. Although he is a versatile singer, his passion is Ghazals & light music, which he also polished under mentorship and guidance of Late Sh.Jagjit Singh. His early training of Hindustani classical vocal music began under classical vocalist Mrs.Anita Roy at Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, after which he completed Sangeet Shiromani from Delhi University.

Amrish is an ‘A’ Grade Ghazal Singer from All India Radio. He is also on the reference panel of artists of ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations).


On several occasions, he has shared the stage with various other artists like M/s .Jagjit Singh, Ustd. Mehdi Hassan, Pankaj Udhas, Abhijeet, Nitin Mukesh, Sonu Nigam, Ms.Penaz Masani etc – to name only a few.

He has travelled to perform all over the world, including U.S.A., U.K., Dubai, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau, Nepal etc. His admirers make an impressive list of who’s who of India & abroad and comprise of distinguished eminent personalities from all fields, be it artists, industrialists, ministers, beauraucrats, doctors, etc.


His various Bhajans albums has been released by HMV Saregama (Jai Raghunandan Jai Siyaram), T-Series (Super Cassettes Industries Ltd.) His Ghazal album which started under the guidance of Sh.Jagjit Singh, is mid way.

His interviews and concerts have been covered by leading national newspapers like The Times of India, India Today, The Hindu, Dainik Bhaskar, Jansatta, Rajasthan Patrika, Hari Bhoomi, Grahshobha, The Pioneer etc. The same have also been telecasted on several channels, viz. Doordarshan, DD Bharati, Sahara TV, ZeeTV, Zee Salaam, E-TV etc.


For his contribution to music, Amrish has been awarded by various socio-cultural organisations like Rotary Club, Sangam Kala Group, Rajasthan Parishad, Rajasthan Sanstha Sangh, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Institute for vocational studies etc.

Academic Qualifications

An honours graduate in English literature from University of Delhi, Amrish is honored ‘Sangeet Shiromani’ in Hindustani Vocal Music from Faculty of Music, University of Delhi. He holds Diplomas in software from NIIT and in Business management from the Institute of Marketing & Management.
