Harjit Singh Sandhu, Managing Partner, Harjit Sandhu Wan and Associates

Mr. Harjit Singh Sandhu, aged 42, was born in Miri, Sarawak and graduated from the University of Buckingham, England with a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honors in 1996. In 1999, he completed his Certificate of Legal Practice with Honours in Kuala Lumpur. Mr. Harjit Singh Sandhu is also a member of Lincoln’s Inn, England.

He read in the chambers of Messrs Shaharudin Sham Sunder and Partners, and was called to the Malayan Bar in 2000. He also read in chambers under Mr. Lawrence Lai of Messrs. Awang, Lai, Sandhu & Co. Advocates, Miri and was later called to the Sarawak Bar in 2001.

Mr Sandhu commenced his legal career with Messrs Raja Eleena Siew Ang & Partners Kuai as a Legal Assistant from 2000 to 2006. Subsequently, he set up Messrs Harjit Sandhu.

Mr Sandhu has acquired wide experiece in most areas of civil and commercial litigation, and handles numerous court trials involving banking, commercial, admiralty, hire-purchase and leasing laws. He is also familiar with execution proceedings such as foreclosure and property auctions, companies winding up and bankruptcy proceedings. He also handles sale and purchase agreements for various developers. He is also a well-known trial lawyer handling personal injuries/fatal accidents cases as well as family law and divorce/matrimonial proceedings.

Mr Sandhu also has ample experience in conducting research for the Malaysian Government. He was involved in the drafting of various legislations for the Malaysian parliament as well.
