Benoit Godart is the Head of Europol Office to the IGCI and attaché to the European Union (EU) Delegation to Singapore, since August 2015. In these positions, Mr Godart is responsible for operational cooperation between Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) from EU Member States and partners outside the Europol network, as well as for strategic coordination with the EU External Action Services on security matters.

Before this, Mr Godart was the Head of Outreach at the Europol European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), in charge of external relationships with LEAs, private sector, academia, and civil society organisations. Between 2010 and 2013, he served as the Europol Liaison Officer to the Interpol General Secretariat. Between 2005 and 2010, Mr Godart set up and led the Intellectual Property Crime project at Europol, combating counterfeiting and internet piracy.

Mr Godart holds the rank of Director of Customs Services in France. Before joining Europol in 2005, he held senior positions in numerous areas. As Chief Superintendent, he was the Head of Customs in a French territorial department. As the Head of Investigations at the National Investigation Service (DNRED), Mr Godart led specialised law enforcement units.Mr Godart is a graduate of the University of Burgundy, Law and Political Science. He has two master degrees in Economics and Finances as well as in Public Law.
